These are real-life experiences from users who have found generative artificial intelligence, like ChatGPT, an unexpected ally in organizing their lives, learning, and even exploring their personal purpose.

Beyond writing emails or programming code, AI is quietly becoming a tool for emotional well-being. In a world where access to mental health services is often limited or expensive, chatbots and language models offer a space available 24/7, judgment-free, and accessible to all. However, this new therapeutic frontier raises crucial questions about its efficacy, safety, and the risks of increasing dependency.

Despite its promising benefits, the use of AI as an emotional advisor is not without significant risks.
